Jams For Jesus
"Promoting Music That Promotes Jesus"
In The Beginning

Hi my name is John and I’m a sound tech. I’ve been at it for many years and always strive to do better and do more. Several years ago I approached the leaders of the Church I attended about having a Night of Worship open to the public. Now keep in mind I am a “planner” an “idea man” and the lead sound tech. Well I couldn’t get the backing of the Church.

A few years go by and a change in Churches happens for me (not because of the lack of support for the event). The Church just finishes a whole series about outreach and what can you do to be the “church”. The idea of having a community Night of Worship is just tearing at my heart. I approach the leadership; they know me, I’m a leader, planner, idea man, have great follow through, and again the lead sound tech, but again I’m told no.

Following the Heart

I felt strong enough about the community needing a Night of Worship that I decided to pursue finding a host/sponsor for the event and I acted as the promoter. I was hoping that I would have one central church as the host/sponsor/promoter and 2 others to bring community to the event but maybe a change up to a worthy non-profit organization as the host/sponsor and invite local Christian artists who attend local churches to perform would work.

A friend of mine posted a timely video about how the church as a "business" need not dictate our own actions - outreach - mission. In his case he built his 3rd and improved semi truck/trailer and hosts a kids ministry program inside the trailer. Bright Colors, Flat Screen Videos, Music, Lights, and a Message geared just for the Kids. Right on the side of the trailer he has "Living on Mission" as a reminder to all Christ followers.

Making Things Happen

Maybe that was a message for me to not be afraid of taking this idea and making it a reality.

September of 2018 with the backing of an awesome nonprofit organization, help of many individuals, and the support of several local businesses the vision of what God had laid on my heart came to fruition. 4 Worship bands made up of artists from 6 different churches, 5 counties, and 3 states came together in community to praise the one and only God above all and pour out their blessing to all who attended the event.

Our Facebook page & this website are the first steps into the next phase.
